Hemorrhoids
Hemorrhoids are a condition in which swollen blood vessels or veins in the rectum cause significant bleeding and inflammation. The condition usually begins with constipation and hard stools. But over time, it can cause fleshy protrusions to grow inside or outside the anus, obstructing the passage of stool and causing excessive straining, rectal bleeding, and a burning sensation during the bowel movement (when passing stool).
If left untreated, the condition can worsen, causing fatigue, weight loss, and even anemia due to
excessive bleeding during bowel movements. Therefore, the primary method of treating this
condition is to take preventive measures that help with digestion and easy passage of stool, and to
manage the condition in its early stages to prevent complications.
